It’s Chili Cookoff Time!!

It is Chili Cookoff time! This Sunday, October 15th, your Larkspur Fire Protection District will be having an Open House at Station 161 from 11am to 3pm…immediately followed by the annual Chili Cookoff with all the shifts as well as Admin staff and Volunteer firefighters competing for bragging rights for another year. The LFPD will have “All you can eat” Chili and fixin’s for a donation of $7.00 for adults, $5.00 children 6-12yrs.
Come on out enjoy the displays and Open House then be the judge for the best firefighter chili winner. (and of course the LVFA’s all you can eat chili, soft drinks, and desserts.)
Again, this Sunday, October 15th, 11am Fire Station 161 Open House, and 3 – 6pm Chili Cookoff.

Oct. 7-15 & Oct. 21-22:                           $9.50 for adults & $11 for kids



SENIOR/MILITARY FAM:  $8.50/person (no pumpkin)

GROUPS of 15+:  $8.50/person – AT LEAST 15 or more paid admissions, ages 3+ (2 & under are free). Each paid person in group gets small pumpkin.

SCHOOLS (including homeschools as long as there are 15 people ages 3+):

  • $7/student (w/pumpkin)
  • $3 – adult chaperones
  • Teachers are free
  • Additional pumpkins available for sale at regular prices.
  • No school groups/homeschool groups ($7 rate) on weekends, but birthdays/other groups are OK ($8.50 rate)


We’ll have one table/tent area for groups of 15 or more – no extra charge.


You’re welcome to bring in your own cake/food and decorations as long as you clean up afterwards. We also have some unique extras this fall, in case your interested:

  • Face painting:  $5 or $8, depending on size
  • Pony rides: $8 (max kid weight of 70 pounds)
  • Kona Ice truck:  On site every Saturday & Sunday (as well as Oct. 5, 12, & 20) – drinks are $4-$6
  • Devil Dog Grill (burgers/hot dogs):  Oct. 1, 14, and 15


Admission for 4, 4 bottled water, 1 pumpkin:  $50+ value for only $38

6th Annual Larkspur Autumn Harvest & Crafts Fest

6th Annual Larkspur Autumn Harvest & Craft Fest, September 16 & 17 from 10 to 5.  Held at the Larkspur Community Park in the middle of the town of Larkspur, CO.  Enjoy over 70 booths, hayrides, music, plus good food and refreshments.  Plenty of entertainment for the kids with a bounce house and inflatable obstacle course.

There will be plenty to see with local Artists and Crafters presenting their unique creations.  There is also a Business section for local businesses as well as a Harvest section for produce and homemade edibles.
And, of course, there is a Food section and a Beer & Wine booth.
